"The Skin" is a modern story filled with Caribbean folklore about a young married couple on the verge of losing their home in Antigua. Their luck changes when, while on a photo‐shoot they discover an ancient vase and sell it to an antique dealer. elmofed.com The couple gets little time to celebrate their good fortune before strange things begin to happen. They are introduced to a Jamaican mystic who informs them that the ancient relic was not really a blessing but a curse…

Although supernatural stories and action tales of spirits are part of the history of the Caribbean flowing from its African ancestry, these stories have not often made it onto film. It is, therefore, refreshing that HAMA films has brought this alternative storyline to the screen.

The film stars the legendary Jamaican actor Carl Bradshaw who rose to fame in the Jamaican classic “The Harder They Come” in the 1970s. Also starring award-winning British actor Jeff Stewart – best known as the slightly odd PC Reg Hollis in the 1990s TV series “The Bill”).
